Email from Audience Member who Attended Dublin Concert

Dear Allan

As a regular member of the congregation in Christ Church Cathedral Dublin and as someone who loves "The American Songbook", I was very much looking forward to the concert as advertised to take place in the Cathedral last Thursday and hearing American standards by such greats like Gershwin, Porter and Berlin.

However, from the very opening of the performance with Brahms right through the entire performance which also featured the wonderful Paul Byrom and the absolutely talented Jazz Septet concluding in the very generous encores, I was simply stunned by the range of repertoire and the quality of music.

During the evening , I had to keep reminding myself that the orchestra was actually composed of mostly teenagers/young people.

Such inspirational talent - they were simply an uplifting joy to hear especially at this time of chaos, misery and uncertainty in the world.

With much appreciation and God's blessing to you All for continued success with you good work.
